Home Assistant Delete Entity Greyed Out Oct 1 2023 nbsp 0183 32 Commented out my custom component in configuration yaml commented out all references to the entities in all my yaml files Yet even after a reboot the entities continue to linger They re still marked as read only so I cannot delete them through the UI either

Jan 23 2020 nbsp 0183 32 In the process I have a couple old versions of the sensor showing up in HA that I can t figure out how to remove They appear in the GUI and in Developer gt States gt Entities but they do not show up in Configuration gt Entities list where I could delete them

Jun 6 2022 nbsp 0183 32 If what is in home assistant v2 db is causing the entities to show up most likely you simply need to wait until the recorder history is purged from the database to get rid of it 10 days is the default setting for that
